if they are spending energy and production on researching and upgrading turret or other city defenses then theoretically they will have smaller doom stacks. Since the computer only has 1 or 2 doom stacks around, that shouldn't much of an issue, the war with that Faction is essentially over when you defeat their doom stack. This is not uncommon in games or real life. The solution to the Doom Stack problem is you have multiple armies to throw at a city. I mean in my almost 200 hours of playing, and reading the forums a lot, the two things I learned were (1) most people think city militias are underpowered and can't hold cities by themselves against Faction players, even when fully upgraded and (2) the computer uses Doom Stacks in their cities. ![]() I wonder, though, how advantaged are cities really?
